If you answered yes to all of these questions, we invite you to submit an offer to our Stay & Save Program. The program officially kicked off spring 2010 and to date approximately 20,000 unique visitors have been exposed to featured businesses.

How it works…

Every guest that checks into the Painted Turtle Guesthouse is invited to buy a $2.00 Souvenir Wristband, which in addition to providing an inexpensive keepsake, is their ‘proof of visitor’ status. Guests show their wristband to staff at participating Stay & Save partners as ‘proof of visitor’ status to receive the special offer related to your business.

How we promote the program…

We have promotional fliers and in-room booklets at the Painted Turtle Guesthouse encouraging guests to buy the wristband to Save while they Stay. At check-in we direct all visitors to check out the featured specials online. We have a dedicated Stay & Save feature under ‘Special Deals’ on our website (www.paintedturtle.ca/hot_deals.php) for current offerings. Offers are also used throughout our social media channels to drive new business to our partners, and to provide added value to visitors to Nanaimo & Vancouver Island.

To be approved as a Stay & Save program participant you must …

1. Display a window sticker (refer sample photo) in a prominent location near an entrance door;

2. Actively ensure all guests wearing the wristband are offered your incentive year-round;

3. Ensure all YOUR staff is advised of the program and how to offer the discount/incentive to our guests;

4. Provide an offer that is relevant to your core business, is not a complimentary value-added service you provide all patrons, would represent value to our guests, is available during all opening hours throughout the year. (Consideration may be given to seasonal or restricted hour offerings – please contact us directly to discuss options.)

Terms & Conditions

The Painted Turtle Guesthouse (PTG) allows you to submit material and information to be used for promoting direct referrals to your business and special offers. Once submitted, information is wholly subject to approval by the PTG, and the PTG reserves the right to delete, move and edit any material submitted.

You are solely responsible for the material you submit and by submitting any material you agree that you will not submit any material that: i) Reveals any confidential or sensitive information; ii) Contains or links to any unlawful, threatening, abusive, libellous, indecent or otherwise illegal material; iii) Contains any material which you do not have the authority to submit or permission to use (including material which may be protected by copyright, trademarks, database rights or any other form of intellectual property right), iv) Contains viruses or any other components with harmful or contaminating properties which may affect the Website or any equipment connected to it; v) Disguises your identity or impersonates any person or entity, including, or falsely claims or otherwise misrepresents your affiliation with a person or entity.

By submitting, you grant PTG a perpetual royalty free, non-exclusive license to reproduce, modify, translate, make available, distribute and sub-license any material you submit in whole or in part or in any form. You are solely responsible for: i) adding, modifying, updating offers online; ii) ensuring a window sticker is in a prominent location near an entrance door; iii) your staff are advised of the program and how to offer the discount/incentive to our guests; iv) provide relevant offer/incentive as per description.
