This week will be busy for guest of the Painted Turtle Guesthouse.  Several events are scheduled for the Harbour City and the weather forecast looks good. Here is a list of some of the Nanaimo events Painted Turtle guest will take in.

• Celtfest 2009 presents their fifth annual series of concerts and ceilidhs in Nanaimo building on the growing recognition of Vancouver Island as Canada’s ‘other’ Celtic Coast.
• Pacific Rim Summer Festival 2009 - A festival of music and performing arts...presented in the spectacular setting of the west coast of Vancouver Island.
• Save on Foods Nanaimo Dragonboat Festival 2009 - Nearly 80 teams from all over BC and the US will take part in the 5th Annual Nanaimo Dragonboat Festival -- a weekend of competition, camaraderie and celebration on Nanaimo's waterfront. The event is made that much more meaningful to the community because its purpose is to create awareness and raise money for the fight against breast cancer locally.
• British Heritage Festival of Vancouver Island - BC's BIGGEST BRITISH SHOW!  Plus... Antique Roadshow. (Bring your antiques to be appraised by our team of experts. $10 for first item, $5 each subsequent item - all donated to the BC Cancer Foundation!)
