You may be wondering about what to do indoors on a windy and rainy day in Nanaimo? How about going shopping to the biggest Shopping Centre on the Island? That is exactly what Johanna and I did last week to find some great bargains and mainly to have fun.

Woodgrove Mall in Nanaimo

Getting to the Woodgrove Centre from downtown is very easy. Three different bus lines can bring you there and the bus drops you off right in front of the entrance. The bus schedules are available online here. Finally, our shopping marathon started... From one store to the other, in and out of the changing rooms, having a look at all the tiny little things you can get for Halloween, walking up and down the mall and - for sure - trying to find the best deals.

In the end, it was a usual girl's day out! We spent quite a bit of money there, bought more stuff than we had planned to buy and we were getting tired... to go shopping can be pretty exhausting J

Overall, Johanna and I (both interns from Germany working at the Painted Turtle Guesthouse in downtown Nanaimo) were impressed by all the different goods you can get there, glad that we found new stuff and happy that we spent a fun time at the mall.

Woodgrove Centre is really more than simply the place to go for the best selection of fashion, merchandise and services. It doesn't matter if you go there alone, with a friend or with your whole family. It really is a great way to spend a rainy day with lots to do and lots more to look at!

Whether you are looking for new clothes, jewellery, electrical appliances, furniture, need yummy food ... or just want to go to the movies, there are more than 150 stores and lots of ways to spend your hard earned dollars!
