Finally it was Wednesday (January, 13) and the clock showed 6.50 pm! The Painted Turtle Guesthouse lobby was overcrowded with about 15 people - all very excited and with the best mood you can have. Our plan was to spend the evening having tons of fun at the Dinghy Dock Pub on Protection Island.
After a short walk, we arrived at the Protection Connection Ferry. Because of the fabulous idea of a food bank ferry[1] we all got the ferry for free. So we enjoyed the ride and after 10 minutes we arrived at the floating pub.
At the Dinghy Dock Pub everything was already prepared for us. We took a seat at a long table and a really friendly and funny waiter anticipated our every need. From the food, beer and cocktails to the atmosphere, everything was like we expected: an awesome evening and a really get together for all of our guests. There were moments we all had tears in ours eyes because we had to laugh so much.
To leave the Pub at 10 pm with the last ferry was not easy, because we had such a good time.
But everybody said that we have to repeat it and we are going to do it again! So come on and join us for our next night at the Dinghy Dock Pub.
[1] Each Wednesday through out January, if you bring a "reasonable" non perishable food donation to the Protection Island Ferry, it will act as your round trip ferry passage to both the Dinghy Dock Pub and Protection Island.
