Outrageously Awesome Owner The Painted Turtle Guesthouse was the brainchild of Bruce and me during an 3-day stay in Petersburg, Alaska, culminating from our desire to create something wonderful from a heritage building, where visitors can be positively influenced by a memorable experience.  While our original intention was to return home to Perth, Western Australia, we fell madly in love with the community of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island and quite spontaneously decided to establish our lifestyle here. Establishing the Painted Turtle Guesthouse in Nanaimo could be described as a reflection of me personally - a little flirty, a calculated risk-taker, for the love of people, visionary, community-oriented, appreciating the world's diversity...and down right fun-loving!
