It was inevitable from the second that Vancouver was announced as the host for the 2010 Olympics; everyone knew that prices and space in the city were about to come at a premium. Indeed, this is something that we have already seen come to pass with real estate, as the cost of a Vancouver or Whistler home has tripled since the announcement was made back in 2002. Real estate isn't the only thing affected in terms of price and quantity by the Olympic Games in Vancouver. There are days that we are hard at work, and those are rewarded by days of play, like at the Parksville Paradise Fun Park! It was only a 30 minute drive for us, but it was well worth the trip! At this fun park, a group of any size, family or just friends of all ages, can enjoy an evening playing mini golf on one (or both) of the two 18-hole mini golf courses.

For visitors to Vancouver Island coming across on the Horseshoe Bay ferry to Nanaimo, consider spending a great night in downtown Nanaimo. Getting Ready to Take the Big Jump in Nanaimo BC

We did it! On Wednesday, October 7 we went to Wild Play Park Nanaimo with the intention to adventure the 150 m jump off a bridge, head first towards water!
